Partner program

Program terms,
in plain English.

These are the rules for StaffHero's two partner tracks — Certified HR Partners and Classic Affiliates. How commissions are calculated, how we decide who gets credit for a referral, and what we ask of you in return. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

If you have countersigned a partner agreement with StaffHero, that agreement prevails over this summary wherever the two differ. For everyone else, this page — together with your acceptance at application — is the agreement.

1. The program in one paragraph

StaffHero runs two partner tracks. Certified HR Partners (by application) are HR consultants and people-ops practitioners who implement StaffHero for their clients and stay involved at least through the client's first pulse launch — they earn a 35% lifetime recurring commission. Classic Affiliates (public application) publish, recommend, and refer without implementing — they earn a 25% lifetime recurring commission: 25% of everything the referred customer pays, for as long as they stay subscribed. These terms govern both tracks; where a rule applies to only one, the section says so.

2. Definitions

  • Certified HR Partner — a partner, approved by application, who implements StaffHero for a client and remains involved at least through the client's first pulse launch. Partners who refer without implementing are credited at affiliate terms (see section 5).
  • Classic Affiliate — a partner accepted through the public application who publishes or refers — content, newsletters, communities, warm introductions — without implementing.
  • Referral — a new StaffHero customer whose purchase is attributed to you under the rules in section 4.
  • Commission — your percentage of what a referred customer actually pays us, calculated on the base defined in section 3.
  • Maturation — the waiting period before an earned commission becomes payable. A commission matures once the customer's 60-day refund window has closed.

3. Commercial terms

  • Rates. Certified HR Partners earn 35% lifetime recurring commission on attributed customers. Classic Affiliates earn 25% lifetime recurring commission — 25% of everything the referred customer pays, for as long as they stay subscribed. Both rates apply to the same commission base, defined next.
  • Commission base. Percentages apply to cash we actually collect — net of discounts, credits, refunds, taxes, chargebacks, failed payments, and reversals. Money in the bank, not list price.
  • Customer gift. Every partner code gives the customer 10% off their first year. First-time customers only.
  • Maturation. A commission becomes payable only after the customer's 60-day refund window closes. This mirrors our 60-day money-back guarantee — we don't pay out on revenue we might have to return.
  • Payouts. Monthly, with a $50 minimum balance, via PayPal or Wise. Balances under $50 roll over to the next month.
  • Withholding & reversal. StaffHero may withhold or reverse commissions for refunds, suspected fraud, self-referral, coupon abuse, or violations of these terms. Paid commissions auto-adjust against future payouts when a refund lands after payout.
  • Existing customers are excluded from commission unless StaffHero approves the attribution in writing before the renewal or expansion.
  • No discount stacking. One partner code per customer. Combining a partner code with any other discount requires written approval from StaffHero.

4. Attribution & precedence

Attribution is automatic first, human second. When a new customer starts paying, we walk this ladder from the top and stop at the first match:

  1. Partner promo code entered at checkout — the primary signal; it works even if the customer never clicked a link.
  2. Partner link — 90-day cookie.
  3. Affiliate code or link.
  4. Approved deal-registration domain match (Certified HR Partners, section 5).
  5. Checkout self-report — what the customer tells us at signup.
  6. Manual attribution by StaffHero.

When two claims collide, these overrides apply:

SituationWho gets credit
Approved Campaign-A deal registration before purchase; a public-affiliate code appears later at checkoutThe registered partner. An approved registration beats a later affiliate touch.
Documented warm intro; the buyer later clicks an affiliate linkThe person who made the introduction.
Two partners both touched the dealThe code entered at checkout wins — absent abuse or a prior registered deal.
No code entered; competing claimsThe first approved deal registration wins.
The prospect was already in StaffHero's own pipelineThe registration may be rejected, or credited as influence-only with no commission.
A personal code leaks to a coupon or deal siteThe code can be voided and reassigned; resulting purchases may be re-attributed.

In every dispute, StaffHero's manual attribution decision is final.

5. Deal registration

Certified HR Partners can protect a deal before the client ever visits our site. Email partners@staffhero.com with: the client company name, their website domain, your contact there, company size, the need you're solving, the expected timeline, whether the client knows you're registering them, and whether you'll implement or only refer.

  • Protection window: 90 days from our approval of the registration.
  • One extension is available on demonstrated progress — a scheduled meeting, an active evaluation, a pulse being planned.
  • We reject: duplicates of an existing registration, companies already in StaffHero's own pipeline, and registrations without a real, current relationship with the client.
  • Refer-only registrations: if you register a deal but won't implement, the registration is honored at affiliate terms — 25% lifetime recurring — not the 35% partner rate.

6. Marketing rules

  • FTC disclosure is mandatory everywhere you share a link or code — posts, videos, newsletters, direct messages. You may adapt the disclosure wording to your own voice, provided it stays clear, conspicuous, placed before the first link or recommendation, and in the same medium — a video needs it spoken and in the description. Ready-made disclosure templates are in the partner resources.
  • Approved claims only. Explicitly banned: calling StaffHero "100% anonymous" or "guaranteed private" (describe the mechanics instead — results appear only once 5+ people answer, no IP logging or device fingerprinting); eNPS® claims beyond our licensed usage; and any ROI or turnover-prevention guarantee.
  • No branded PPC. Don't bid on "StaffHero", misspellings of it, or brand terms combined with coupon / code / discount.
  • No coupon, voucher, deal, or cashback sites. Partner codes on aggregator sites are voided (section 4).
  • No spam, fake reviews, sockpuppet accounts, or bought upvotes — anywhere, ever.
  • Review incentives must never be conditioned on positive sentiment. An honest negative review is fine; a paid positive one is not.
  • Commercial email outreach must identify who you are and include a working opt-out.

7. Eligibility & conduct

  • Self-referral is prohibited — using your own code or link for a workspace you own, control, or work for. It's auto-detected and manually reviewed, and it forfeits the commission.
  • One account per person per campaign — a constraint of Rewardful, the platform that runs our tracking. In practice one account is all you need: a Certified HR Partner does not need a separate affiliate account, because client implementations and content referrals — posts, links, newsletters — both earn the 35% partner rate through the single partner account. Classic Affiliates who begin implementing StaffHero with clients can apply to upgrade to partner terms.
  • Codes are personal and non-transferable. A named code like INTERIM-MARY is issued to you — not to your company, your clients, or your audience.
  • Leaked codes are killed and reissued. If your code turns up somewhere it shouldn't — a coupon aggregator, a paste site — we void it and issue you a fresh one.

8. Tax & payouts

  • Before your first payout: US persons submit a W-9; non-US partners submit the applicable W-8 equivalent. No form, no payout.
  • 1099-NEC: filed for US persons earning $600 or more in a calendar year.
  • You are an independent participant, responsible for your own taxes. Nothing in this program creates employment, agency, or a legal partnership.

9. Term, termination, changes

  • Either party may end participation at any time, for any reason, with no notice period.
  • On termination, matured commissions on valid referrals are paid out on the normal monthly schedule.
  • StaffHero may amend these terms with notice — an email to your partner address and an updated date at the top of this page. Continued participation after the effective date is acceptance.
