The People Risk Sprint:
a diagnostic clients pay for.
A packaged 2–4 week engagement — you set up StaffHero, run the client's first anonymous pulse, and walk leadership through their first Leadership Brief. Then you land one visible action inside 30 days.
You charge for the sprint. StaffHero pays you 35% for the lifetime. The client gets a working listening program in 30 days.
The 35% rate is the implementing-partner rate — you earn it by staying involved through the client's first pulse launch, which is exactly what this sprint is. Refer-only introductions fall under affiliate terms instead. Full program terms are at /partners/terms.
Thirty days,
week by week
Week 0 — Qualify & scope
The sprint works for one profile: 25–200 people, no full-time HR function, and a leader who actually wants the answer. If the client has an HR team running annual engagement surveys, this isn't the play.
- Agree the sprint fee and deliverables in writing — you're selling a diagnostic with a readout, not hours
- Disclose the partner relationship in writing — a ready-made disclosure template is in the kit
- Register the deal by email to partners@staffhero.com — 90 days of protection from confirmation, one extension if the deal is progressing
- Have the client create a free StaffHero account — the full product in demo mode, no card
Week 1 — Set up
Everything is in place before anyone answers a question. Your job this week is configuration and one very deliberate email.
- Create the workspace and import the roster — use the CSV template so names, emails and teams land clean on the first pass
- Map teams the way leadership actually thinks about the org, not the way the org chart pretends it works
- Choose the question set with the sponsor — resist adding "just one more question"
- Customize the announcement email from the template — and have the CEO send it, not you. Employees trust a pulse their leader visibly owns
- Launch the subscription with the client entering your code at checkout — it takes 10% off their first year
Week 2 — First pulse
Launch, then watch participation — not answers. Results only appear once at least 5 people have answered; that's the privacy floor, and it's what makes honest answers possible.
- Launch the pulse to the full roster
- Check participation mid-round — if it's lagging, nudge through the CEO. StaffHero never reveals who has or hasn't answered, so the nudge goes to everyone
- Target 70%+ response — a first pulse below that is a communication problem, not a survey problem
Week 3 — Leadership Brief readout
This is the deliverable the client remembers. Pre-read the Leadership Brief before the room does — the eNPS® number is the headline, but the hidden risks are the meeting. Then run a 60–90 minute leadership readout with a fixed agenda:
- The score and what it means — in plain English, without survey jargon
- Top hidden risks — the things leadership didn't know were simmering
- Likely root causes — your read as the outside expert, tested against the room
- Pick ONE visible action — one, not five. Five actions is a way of choosing none
- Agree who communicates back to employees, and when

Week 4 — Land the action & close the loop
A pulse that changes nothing teaches employees to stop answering. The sprint ends when something visibly moved — and everyone was told.
- The chosen action shipped, or visibly started with a named owner and a date
- A "you said, we did" message goes to employees — template in the kit
- Set the monthly pulse cadence so the next round runs without you in the room
- Propose ongoing advisory — then hand over the keys, or stay on as the retained expert
What partners
typically charge
| Engagement | Typical fee | When it fits |
|---|---|---|
| People Risk Sprint | $750–$2,500 | The full 2–4 week runbook on this page |
| Leadership Brief readout workshop | $500–$1,500 | Standalone, for clients already running StaffHero |
| Monthly engagement advisory | $300–$1,500/mo | The retainer that follows a good sprint |
Guidance, not mandated — you set your own fees, invoice the client directly, and keep 100% of the engagement. The 35% commission on the client's StaffHero subscription is separate, and on top.
